According to Obama, these are all lies and distortions.

“That’s not country first, that’s Obama first!”

Not seen last night due to Rudy’s speech, here’s Palin’s intro speech from the RNC:

Final word from this post, the quote of the night:

I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening.

We tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.

See the speech and the text here at Real Clear Politics.

Michelle Malkin has the live blog action here. She’s always on it.

Scroll down for more!!

See my previous post if you are interested in her faith and her home church in Wasilla.

I found a few videos that are well worth watching.  She’s the real deal.

Click here to check it out.

Carly Fiorina is on right now.  She was one of the names floated for VP.

Just a bit of warmup here from the People’s Cube.  Just in case, because of all the recent coverage, you cannot discern crazy from reality, this is satire:

UPDATE:

Why isn’t Fox News showing the speeches?  Just Palin’s? Must I give CNN a viewer!!??

Oh the Huckster!  I know what lava is too!  Speak power to truth brother!

9:32PM EST- Did Biden really receive less votes for president than Palin received for mayor of Wasilla?  WOW!

UPDATE 2:

Rudy is hitting it out of the park! Love the chants of zero zero zero.

“Change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy!” Go Rudy!

News coming across the wire during Rudy’s talk on the war on terror:

UPDATE, Sept 6th:

Welcome everyone from SpiritDaily.com!

A quick note: I’ve just posted a few details about Barack Obama’s radical position on abortion.  Click here for more details.

I know many Christians – including me- are interested in hearing Governor Palin talk about her faith.  Please scroll down for more.

This story just came out today, September 6th, from Time Magazine.

It talks about how evangelicals may “not be sold” on Palin.  Just watch the videos, in context. This article shows how some in the media still have no clue about people who really believe in Christ.  She’s the real deal, but she’s not perfect- just like any other Christian who believes in God and wants the best for this country.

I hope you are encouraged.

Scroll down to the bottom for the videos!

Let us not forget Obama’s private comments about us “clinging to guns and religion.”

Some of you may have see negative stories about her faith. Here’s an out-of-context article about her a few days ago.

The AP article quoted below grabs the most controversial statements in the video.  Please remember the context (that tends to be important) of her remarks- she’s speaking at her home church.  A little more personal and little less governor.

From the AP:

Palin: Iraq war ‘a task that is from God’

Sarah says:

In an address last June, the Republican vice presidential candidate also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it “God’s will.”

“Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God,” she said. “That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God’s plan.”

“I can do my job there in developing our natural resources and doing things like getting the roads paved and making sure our troopers have their cop cars and their uniforms and their guns, and making sure our public schools are funded,” she added. “But really all of that stuff doesn’t do any good if the people of Alaska’s heart isn’t right with God.”

Governor Palin’s home church, Wasilla Assembly of God, has a link to a YouTube/ Google Video collection.

Here are the two with Sarah Palin:

And the second:

Here’s their pastor’s comments on Palin as VP:
